the thought of bringing goggles for snorkeling is not a bad idea when one is in Calaguas. contrary to what others imagine of Calaguas as just plain sandy beach, it has its charm for having rocky shoreline edge.
one can get stuck to the clear waters of the central beach area and miss out this side of Mahabang Buhangin beach. but a walk to this side of the beach is worth it. 
it is from this vantage where one can get a wider perspective of the whole stretch of the beach and the nearby islands that faces the cove. but one needs to be extra cautious while walking over these rocks.
though rocky, the sand here is at its finest. less people camp here as it is quite secluded from the area where fresh water deep well and toilets are available. 
truth is, this is my favorite part of the long stretch of Mahabang Buhangin beach side.

maaliwalas, tahimik pero may istorya ng hangin. kakaiba ang kuha ng picture,ramdam ang kahngahangang paligid. di lang pala mahabang buhangin ang masisilayan,may batuhan din. nagsisimbulo ng lakbay ng buhay, may deretso at may baku bako.

While rocky shorelines command less crowd, this is the kind of area I tread carefully not only because of potential slips and falls but also because slithery sea snakes thrive in them. Takot ako sa snake eh.
dito pa lang nakaka relax na. misteryoso sa kin ang dagat kung may ganitong tanawin, mabato! parang may nakatagong malalim na kwento. nakakapahinga ng malalim..

reminds me of Capones..... I like beaches like these....I like the combination of rocks and sand---basta fina ang sand ha...coz you see the contrast...it ads beauty and drama to the beach.....
i was gonna say my ideal time there would be to perch on one of those rocks and simply enjoy the horizon. kaso si nomadic pinoy naman sinabi may snakes jan and i am afraid of snakes.

this is so beautiful compared to the place i am going to bring benghui. but he is just a kid n hasnt seen much of the world so i guess he wont b disappointed.
