coastal town - dingalan aurora

if one wants to escape the urban lifestyle of Manila, one of the beautiful destination that you can take is a five-hour roadtrip to Aurora province's southernmost town of Dingalan. approximately 183kilometers from Manila.the whole coastline is composed of pebbles which creates a sound every time the waves hits the shoreline. waves can get bigger in this area because this is an open sea facing the Pacific ocean.it has a laid back kind of aura in this side of Luzon where one can both enjoy the serenity of the mountains and the sea. it has a port big enough for fishing boats and small ferries.apart from being serene Dingalan also boasts its abundance of fishes from Tunas to Blue Marlins. all of which are sold at a very cheap price. there's a small wet market along the road, where one can buy fishes. a nearby kitchen can then cook it for you while you wait on some of the cottages.when we were there, we had the chance to meet the mayor of Dingalan Ms. Zenaida Padiernos. she was the one who approached us and welcomed us while we were having our lunch. he endorsed us to one of his personnel to guide us to the northeast part of the town.a stream connecting the sea was a nice view from there and we crossed it to check out a ship docked in its coastline. that'll come on my next post. check out here for more beautiful seascape from a tandem post of Lawstude.[what you shouldn't miss there]>>>a walk along the port to get a view of the mountains surrounding the town and the fresh sea food near the small market.
[why i should go back] >>> to again enjoy the cheap Blue Marlins and Tunas bought and cooked there plus the relaxing mood of this town.

Very beautiful scenery. I love the video in your previous post too. Advantage of living in a big country is that you dont have to travel out of your country for a vaccation. When night fall, are you able to see the mountain? Many moons ago, I was visiting Guilin in China and at night I was looking at this mountain, right in front of our hotel in the countryside, that looked like a big black monster cause it was very dark with no street lights like in the city. It is kinda scary for a city girl like me...lol.

Hiking... waah. Namiss ko mga ganyang adventures ah. Oi, sama nyo naman ako ni kuya Lawstude sa susunod nyong mga lakad. Haha. (Parang ang dami kong oras sa mga ganyan noh?).

More adventures and more great pictures to come! Padayon!

Salamat kuya. :P

these are familiar sights but they never fail to entice me .....Aurora is indeed beautiful----but one cannot also feel sad if one realize the poverty in the place-----hope the tourism sector could be of help coz this place is really beautiful---

This is one lovely place. I don't like the stone in the ocean but it's really beautiful still. I like the stream of water leading to the ocean. It's beautiful!

It's certainly beautiful and peaceful out there. Isn't it nice when the mayor personally extends the town's hospitality to you? You must be some big shot Dong :D

>hi alicesg, that's true! the philippines having 7,107islands has a lot to offer. diverse culture and a lot of coastlines.

sometimes you can see the silhouette of the mountains. it depends on the moon's position and clear skies. i too like those silhouette formed by the mountains.

>aethen, sarap talaga mag hike. sana nga makasama ka rin. salamat din sa pagbisita sa blog.

>pusang-gala, i dont know about that but i think have enough for a living knowing that they have the abundance of fishes but im sure if tourism will boost, it will be good. truth is they need help in promoting dingalan. one can help by visiting it.

>hi aquamarine, the landscape and the seascape coincides and is indeed beautiful.

i too enjoy visiting travel blogs. it's our pleasure to bring you to places.

>raft3r, i agree with that! specially here in the rural areas in the philippines.

>hi aisha, specially when you're really used to see beautiful beaches but i still noticed some locals enjoying the beach.

>phivos, thank you!

>photo cache, that was really a privilege for us. the mayor is so friendly and almost everyone there are so approachable.

we were just taking shots of the coastlines when they noticed us. according to his personnel, the mayor really wants, to as much as possible, personally welcome the visitors.

>jasper, hahaha... nakita niya lang kaming kumukuha ng picture at siya na rin mismo ang nagwelcome sa amin. bait ng mga tao dahil mabait din talaga ang mayor.

>dennis, ganda nga talaga. ang maganda pa doon ay tahimik pa kaya pwedeng pwede magrelax.

>pietro, thanks!

>hi mimi, talagang delikado nga lalo na pag may bagyo.

>hi chyng, thanks a lot! aurora is a different province but its just beside quezon province.

>hi rebecca, thanks! they are used to it. i believe they can actually jump from there. hehehe...

>r-yo, hehehe... maybe at quick look.

Grabe, i really like the 1st photo!! There is depth with the mountains as the background & the suspended dock as the foreground. Plus, i like that there are people at the edge of the dock because it shows its scale. Imagine if there were no kids there, it won't look as impressive. And i enjoy pictures that has structures that defy gravity. Sorry, over-analyzed na. haha.

I hope to meet that very hospitable Mayor!

Big time! Si Mayor pa ang lumapit sa inyo? :)

Pwede rin ba bumili ng tunas and blue marlins then iuuwi mo sa Mla? Fresh pa rin kaya yun? :)

any beach place is a getaway for me. Like the streams/brooks that go with the place as well. How's life? I've just settled into my new routine and restarted my exercise to cope with the stress. U seem to be enjoying life as usual - travelling? :)

I think your pictures deserves to be seen in a bigger size... I saw it in my blog...big pictures are just more attractive.

With all respect I think blogger is not for photographers like you...

wordpress.org/ is a free service that is used by a lot of photographers.

I also like this service. It is also free and also used by a lot of photographers !

Just have a look.
