one can't go home from Boracay without a souvenir. so i can't end the Boracay series without showing you things that you can buy in the island.as i once posted, shopping in Boracay is not a problem as the island's main beach has an area for shoppers. main shopping area is the D'Mall while you can also find cheaper items at D'Talipapa.the cheapest souvenirs might be the key chains and ref magnets that comes in different colors of sea creatures and shells. there are also some colorful cloth lanterns.even along the beach way you'll find items being sold, most of which are wooden crafts. mostly made by the locals from Kalibo.if you didn't had enough time during the day as you were enjoying the sun, most shops are open until night time. mall shops sells beach wears and some memorabilia.it all depends on your budget as you want to bring some items to remember on your visit in this island.

Wow, this post is making me miss Bora, oh well. I also bought some fridge magnets there, I have wanted to buy same cloth lanterns but I cannot do so as our luggages are full.
It's really nice looking at the photos you have posted as they all are so warm and colourful! Photoblogs from Europe and North America are getting very monotonous this time of the year as most shots are grey and white...
Sa station 2 ka nag-stay ano? Haha.
At heto pa, marami pala tayong similar shots eh.
i have started to collect ref magnets so i would get that if i were shopping. and those lanterns may be difficult to bring home, but i love them. dong, can you haggle for price here?
wow! you really did a good job on showing us the beauty of Boracay and where to go for what. I love to boat souvenirs, they look really nice for decoration. I also like the giant face mask. :)
key chains and ref magnets are indeed the cheapest. yan lang yata nabili ko pasalubong doon eh hehehe. 8 for Php 100 is a real bargain. Sabi ko sa mga officemates ko, it is the thought the counts lol.
goodluck on your sagada trip. ingat and regards sa Lingkod.
Whenever I go to Boracay, I seldom don't shop. Maybe it's because their merchandise is also as expensive as the ones here in Manila. But I have to admit that the shops also sell very nice goods. If ever I do buy something, it's almost always the keychains or the white shirts with Boracay print in front that usually sells for P200-300. :-)
ahh, boracay shopping! i keep on repeating---D'Mall...D'Talipapa (hahaha). the first time i visited boracay, pasalubong ko pag-uwi ay white sand na nilagay sa bote.:D

one of the many charms of bora
pasalubong shopping
hehe
when i see key chains i remember a friend who's exasperated with that kind of pasalubong.
"key chain na naman? wala na kaming pinto!"
my comeback: "di bumili ka ng kotse."
wala akong magagawa. biyaheng tipid ako lagi eh.
I certainly would buy some clothing items.
Wonderful images!
again, nice batch of pictures from you.. you have the eye...
DOT shud thank you for this Dong.
Well done!
i hope they'll start selling souvenier spoons coz that's what i collect.
:)
thanks for sharing this all photos here!!! felling ko nasa boracay na ako hehe
nice post about d'mall. just came from boracay last week!
I bought lots of those ref magnets, some beaded accessories and a set of pearls last time I was at Bora.
My mil's hubby said he doesnt want to come back to boracay because he wanted to preserve the memory he has of it then...unadulterated :)
Nevertheless, I would still go whatever or however it looks now, I just thought it would have been cleaner back then...perhaps closer to paradise.
I always enjoy your beach photos , with blue and contrasting colors....whew!
I've heard so many things about boracay. And i believed that this place will be perfectly for relaxing...
