night trip to the bicolandia

the trip to Naga city in the Bicol region is roughly 8hours. since it's a long trip down south of Luzon, we decided to take the lazy boy bus accommodation of Isarog Bus Lines. this bus offer limited number of seats. each seat is adjustable for sleeping and sitting position. the bus left the Cubao bus terminal around 9:15pm. we were 11 in the team to assist in Lingkod Naga's CLS during the weekend. the team includes Dom, Marvin, Orlan, Maui, Irma, Melissa, Medard, John, Joy, Sherill and Bambi. after two hours we reached our stopover at the bus terminal of Tiaong Quezon. after 20minutes, bus left and continued its way to Camarines Sur.the trip was a little tiring but it was fun because everyone is enjoying each others company. we arrived around 5:05am at the Naga Bus Terminal and it was still dark. Melo and Jandi met us there and brought us to Ateneo de Naga University, where we will be staying for the weekend until Monday.the view from our room from Ateneo de Naga University Arrupe building is Mount Isarog. it was still covered with clouds early morning. weather was still cloudy the whole day but at one time the clouds gave way to display Mount Isarog. i will be posting some pictures of Ateneo de Naga University in the coming posts. thanks for keeping in touch when i was away.

>hi ifoundme, yes. even going to baguio, there's already a lazy boy bus. try it!

>eastcoastlife, yes. the bus has a lazy boy accomodation. so you can rest the whole trip.

>hi share, thanks for waiting. i'll be posting them one by one.

naku! I remember our trip to my grandparents place in Bigaa, Albay. We always take the night bus and those pictures of the bus you have there is very very reminiscent of those times. Sarap matulog dahil malamig!

You know what?? I could almost smell the morning air while looking at your twilight photo of the mountain.

Maraming salamat!

hmm, i miss long travels on a bus. those lazy trips that sometimes offer you fascinating scenes of life in the countryside. or people walking. or simply going about their lives. or animals feeding on green grass.

ahh, i miss the "province" feel.

>rebecca, thanks! i love long travels because it usually brings you to unusual places.

>hi sandy, yes. a lazy boy bus accommodation will give you space good enough to sleep for long trips.

Oman said...

Never been there. My gf did and your photo of the volcano with clouds covering some portions of it reminds me of her story. She went there because of a wedding and the fact that Mayon is in the area escaped her mind. So when the clouds settled and her companions said----oh---yun na MAYON, she exclaimed, ay---DITO PALA ang MAYON???. I laughed and laughed for minutes....kekeke

pusangkalye said...

Looks like the bus trip is comfy naman. Good thing me mga bus lines na ngyn na offer ng ganyang accomodation. dati pati Pangasinan u dont have much choice but to settle for the bad ones....

Si Me said...

that was a long trip..pero ok na ok naman, ganda pala dyan sa bicol, bapapasabak ka sa siling labuyo dyan!

escape said...

atticus said...

the last time i passed by albay was when we went back to tacloban city. talagang tinutukan ko mayon volcano habang tumatakabo ang bus. hehe.

nice pics kuya dong! good thing you had a safe trip.

Unknown said...

that's a beautiful photo of sunrise. looking forward to more photos on your next post.

a bicol trip, especially overnight is really tiring but once you see mayon, or in this case, isarog in such a beautiful light, is always relaxing.

pre, kung masubukan mo, try to travel early in the morning via the sagnay route to tabaco. grabe, ang ganda ng scenery. very rugged and breathtaking.

I love the idea of lazy boy seats in a bus. It must be a more comfortable way of traveling especially on long distance trips.

Beautiful photos of the mountain. I hope I could visit Naga in the near future.
