a green perspective - capones

beyond its long beach line, are the grassy hills rising in the island of Capones. this is by far one of the best natural landscape that i've seen in an island.the rock formations that forms the landscape looks like someone big has really worked on its details to make it this scenic. we spent so much time taking pictures in Sakate hill. on top of this hill, you'll have a great view of the island's shoreline.on the leftmost edge of Adelante beach stands an abandoned building which looks like a resort discontinued. it looks like it was constructed years back. to me, this abandoned building blends with the landscape.on the other side of the Sakate hill, you'll get a view of Camara island and mountain range of Zambales.hiking farther up, on one side you'll see part of Maryada and Huego beach front. the waves from here are continuous formed from the winds of typhoon Igme which already entered the Philippine area of responsibility.right side from this vantage is the Lehos wall and the Agudo hill. Agudo hill is accessible through the Kamino beach front which will also lead you to the lighthouse of the island.looking down, you'll see the Huego beach line. which is accessible via Maryada beach or through the Sakate downhill. from all the islands that i've visited, i consider Capones as one of the best in terms of natural landscape. to see the island this as green as this, best time to be there will be between July until August. just make sure that you check the weather forecast before you decide to go to the island. Lawstude will feature more stunning shots of these hills in the coming days.

>islander, bawal sumigaw daw kasi walang echo. baka iba ang sasagot. hehehe...

>hi rachel, yes. it's really beautiful there. one of the best island that i've seen so far.

>huay mei, thanks!

>hi rayts, ganda nga doon. sana makapunta ka kasi galing mo pa namang kumuha ng mga shots. siguradong sulit ang pagpunta mo doon.

>hi em, oo nga. ang naiisip ko lang ay baka nagkulang sa permit or baka naubusan ng budget.

>hi arlene, actually i consider capones as the mini batanes.

>photo cache, ganun na nga. nung nandun kami, walang ibang nagcamp. kaya pribadong pribado ang lugar.

>hi rochelle, at least you get to see green hills thru this blog.

>eye, you're right about that. we remembered the sound of music when we were there.

First class Dong.... Fully greenish and superb..... Nice one. Thanks for it.. I hope that in future i will get some chances to see these places....

Excellent shots!

How much time do you need to traverse the entire island? Would now really be a good time to go? I was advised to wait until summer because the waters this time of year can be rough.

Beautiful place. Love the rock formation. The thing I like best in your blog, you are so detailed with a map to show the exact location of the place. Lovely.

It's 2am, but I made it over here to visit you.

Those hills are just beautiful! The grass is so green. I rarely see grass like that where I live.

redlan said...

am looking forward in this month theme dom. I am not in a hurry. Take your time. I am just excited as always.

the donG said...

>pietro, this island surely has beautiful natural landscape.

>selerines, thank you! thank you!

>hi isabetlog, thanks a lot! it depends. if you want to see the island this fresh and as green as this, the rainy season will be the perfect time. but as your friend said, sea is quite rough. when we were there, it was when typhoon igme was passing by north luzon so we really experienced extreme rough boat ride. but it was one great expereince!

if you really want to enjoy the beach with calm waters, summer is the best time. i was planning to do snorkeling when we went there but the waves can disappoint you.

i hope this will help you.

>wandering commuter, hahaha... sige basta ihanda mo lang ang sarili mo dahil pag kasama kami kahit ano pwedeng mangyari. magulo kaming bumyahe. hehehe...

>hi medam, thanks a lot! my goal is really to invite people to visit the island as well. seeing the photos is really different when you get to see it there.

>mangyan, ganda talaga. punta ka doon pagbakasyon mo.

>hi alicesg, thanks! i also find the map helpful because it's difficult to describe a place using plainly directions. this also helps other people plan their trek in the island when they visit it.

>ranjit! thanks. happy friendship day to you.

>hi doc rio, anong malulugi? subukan muna natin.

>hi equi, you really really need to visit the island.

>blogusvox, tama ka dyan. may book kami sa bahay ng lonely planet ng ireland kasi nagtrabaho doon yung kapatid ko. ganun nga ang mga lugar doon.

>hi karen, thanks a lot for taking a special time to visit my blog! this place is really breathtaking specially when you're on top of one of its hills.

>redlan, hehehe... masaya nga pag marami. kahit pa walang kuryente, kahit pa may bagyo walang malungkot na byahe pag kasama ang barkada at mga kapatid.

this month's theme will be revealed within the week. salamat sa pag abang.

beero said...

Isabetlog said...

Thanks again! I'll probably go in the summer, someone drowned there recently since the timing of her visit was a little off :D

the donG said...

>beero, puntahan mo talaga tong islang ito. kulang ang mga pictures para ipakita kung gaano ka ganda ang islang ito.

>hi isabetlog, i think it was during the time when typhoon frank hit luzon. but when there's no typhoon, the sea is calm there. but if you really want a smooth trip, summer might be the best time.
