maryada view - capones

for me to fully bring you around the island, i'll put names on each side of the island so that it will be easier for me to represent the areas that we've visited. names of the shorelines are completely unofficial and are certified dong's idea. i hope that this will help you by the time you visit the island.we have set camp between the beach side of Adelante and Limpyo. this side is the longest beach shoreline of the island of Capones. we were the only ones camping in the island that time. we were 14 in the team and set six tents. set up our bonfire for the night's fellowship. since it was still around 4:00pm, we decided to check out the other side of the island. we went to Maryada beach front passing by dense bushes. Maryada beach has a larger flat camp area but we still preferred to camp at Adelante because the sea is calmer on that side and the area is quite cleaner. one can just run to the shore and swim. a view of huge rock formations on both sides are impressive. these rocks separates Maryada beach shore to the Huego beach shore.the waves are larger here because it is facing an open sea. this is the South China sea between the Philippines and Vietnam. from here, you'll have a view of Kamino hills.you can hike your way up to some of the hills here to get a panaromic view of Maryada.next post will bring you other parts of the island including the hike towards the Huego hills. watch out for really good shots of Lawstude of the Great Capones island.

We still have a lot of beautiful un-spoiled beaches and picturesque mountain views. The problem starts when tourists arrives at this places or our government wants to make money out of it.

Those are lovely shots. It must always be an adventure to set camp in a new place. Discovering so many beautiful places must be worth the journey.

waw. magkasama ba kayo ni kuya lawstude?

i like the photo with the rock formations. galing kasi. yung sedimentary formation. you'll know how the mountain made to be like that. :)

Wow Dom. Pinapahanga mo ako ah. Ang daming byahe. haha. At katuwa naman at nagkasama kayo ni Oman on this trip.

Very informative yung map mo nung island. Didn't know there were designated names for parts of the islands. I hope makabalik ulit one of these days.

Beautiful shots of the beaches and rock formations in this island, Dong. Are there a lot of inhabitants on this island?

Very cool. Maganda! I really like the ones of the rocks. And I miss how green it is there. It's so brown here in Texas!

>blogusvox, the danger is really the tourist management system that the local government establishes. looking at how palawan has successfully protected its beauty with tourist flocking. it's really in the leadership and the people's cooperation.

sadly, there's no one managing the island of capones (when we were there). i hope that they will assign a watcher to at least control and manage people visiting the island.

>mangyan, salamat! sarap talaga mamundok at magcamp.

>roneiluke, i might read HBP again before the movie comes.

thanks! i'm using sony dsc-p150. sarap bumyahe pero pahinga muna ako after nito. derederecho kasi nung july.

>luke, thanks!

>islander, mas marami mas masaya. try mo ang camping. magdamagang saya yan.

>hi rachel, i agree with that. every adventure has its unique way of enjoying nature. in this case, we were tested through the big waves. extreme challenge. extreme fun.

>hi julie, exactly!

>panaderos, no one is living in the island. imagine how big it is and no one else is there. good that we went there as a group.

>hi rochelle, it's rainy season this time in the philippines, that's why the grass are green and fresh looking.

>hi sandy, we'll keep posted. enjoy your trip!

my favorite photo is the first one (tent) and it's obvious why: play of colors, the composition, symmetry. haha. parang art appreciation. close 2nd yung 12th (excluding the map). looks paleolithic.

wow! i'm jealous! you must be very lucky to travel places like this! an enchanting paradise talaga! thanks for sharing and can't wait to see more of the other parts of the island:)

Is the caved in part because of the waves? Impressive art from mother nature! The moss looks so soft, pwede ba mahiga jan? hehe.

i envy the younger set today. nung kami di pa uso camping camping. swerte nyo naman, not only are you so willing to see the entire philippines, you're also able to do that. keep 'em coming.

>hi dina, yes. we have 7,107islands to explore! philippines is just blessed! haven't tried it yet. maybe tonight.

>hi shawie, blessed to have this opportunity. thanks for always coming back for the islands! you'll see more of it in the coming posts.

>hi vienna, i think yes. because the waves here are really fiery. moss are alive and so green. yes pwedeng pwede humiga.

>photocache, i agree with that. more beautiful places are discovered year after year because of hikers, backpackers choosing to explore the secrets of the islands of the philippines.

>hi treen, thanks! keep in touch.
