one of the things that you shouldn't miss when you visit San Pablo city is to bike around the lake shore of Sampalok lake. you can rent a bike from the park area for P10 good for one round around the lake. the lake's circumference is 3.7kilometers which can take you to around 15-20minutes of biking. while looking at all the bikes lined up, i asked which one is the best bike and she gave me this. while the rest are mountain bikes, this one has a classic look. at first i resisted but upon trying it, i immediately paid the rent and started pedaling. i named the bike "Blooz" simply because its color is blue with a classic look.some parts of the lake's shore is already occupied by the fishermen. you can see stilt houses with nets surrounding its area. the nets indicates that they breed fishes here. small fishing boats are almost everywhere. a more common type looks like the boat below but there were also long boats composed of long bamboos tied together to form a floating flat boat.the view from one side of the lake to the other varies as you travel along its circumferential lane. mountains and the hills forms a nice background for the lake.because of beautiful views of the lake around its shoreline, you will notice that there are already beautiful big residential houses, motel and restaurants along its lane although majority of it are still occupied by typical Filipino houses. don't worry about food because there are some mini shops that offers merienda near the starting point. it took me 40minutes to bike back to the starting point because i was stopping once in a while to get a shot of the place. it's one good exercise with a nice view of the lake.what was really good is that the place is safe and the circumferential lane allows you to see multiple views of Sampalok lake. i highly recommend that you try biking and might as well pick "Blooz" for this exercise and leisure around this lake.
Biking around the place sounds fun and exciting. Thank you for showing the lovely sights. I love the view by the lake. I like the that cool tree house.
i've heard this place a lot of times sa mga kasamahan ko na taga dito but have no idea how this place looks like..ngayon parang namamasyal lang ako while reading this entry...
Aysu din tong trip mo dom. Nakaka miss din mag bike, but I'm not sue kung marunong pa ko hehe.
i like all of your shots. you've made a very good capture of the beauty of our country.
i could feel the serenity of nature and the calmness of waters...and most of all, you got a great capture of the "bangka"--it seems to tell its own story.keep it going!
that is one amazing bike adventure along the lake! i like the reflection of the clouds on the lake, and that church (iglesia ni cristo?) across from it looks like a castle.
another picture and information-packed post dong. never really paid much attention to that part of luzon but with your post i definitely have a second look now.
As in your previous posts, another really interesting sequence of views. You had a nice trip around the lake with many wonderful photos. Fantastic that residential house.
>hi napaboaniya, yes. she was really insistent. after returning the bike to her "see how good it is?". hahaha... and indeed it was a nice bike. old but special.
>pietro, thanks! my pleasure to share the experience through the photos.
Third one is fantastic... I like that tree house too, it's really nice. What's that actually in the lake? Any thing used for transport like? It seems to be different...
OMG! as in! ngayon lang ako ulit nakakita ng tahimik na tubig enough to make a mirrorlike effect sa sky! ang galing!!
dom, if that's the view, maybe i can re-learn how to ride a bike, hahaha. although i can always walk as i usually do. and who would want to finish the meandering in minutes kung ganyan ka-refreshing ang tanawin :-)
That way it's easy to dismount especially if the rider is wearing a skirt.
I think that's the reason why napaboaniya was amused at the bike's recommendation.
>carver, it was really a wonderful bike ride.
>tink, hahaha... i think it really is cool up there.
>eastcoastlife, i might agree because some artists take time to do their paintings in the area. what more when writing.
>alicesg, looks like everyone likes that tree house!
>hi acey, thanks a lot!

>hi ev, thanks! you'll see a lot of bangka there but it's not easy to shoot as some of it you'll still need to pass by their houses.
>hi nyl, wow talaga!
>hi carlotta, yes. you'll enjoy biking there as you bike along the street with no jeepneys competing in your path.
yes that's an iglesia ni cristo church. it adds view to the lake.

>blogusvox, really? i can't determine a bike if it's for men or women.

Such a pretty place to explore! I would love to go there. I'm sure I would have lots to write. :)

Nice houses and cottages :) A great place to relax.
The bike rental is dirt cheap. However, methinks 3.7 kms in 20 minutes is a stretch hehe. Not with my potato couch body :)
Beautiful shots and very nice homes too. I just hope that the people keep the lake's waters clean.
>panaderos, i hope for the same thing. may area kasi medyo madumi na.
:) love your photos here...
