island hopping - to the virgin island

the sky was cloudy when we prepared for the island hopping. we are to visit Virgin island and Hilantaga-an island with a small motor boat. we crossed the Sta. Fe pier and we first dropped by Okoy Beach East of Bantayan .we then went off to see the Virgin island which is also called Silion island. the island is largely made up of rocks with some strips of white sand beach.
as we we get closer to its major docking site, we see cottages. the island itself is actually a beach resort but we are not interested of the resort. because we are curious of what the locals is boasting about this island ever since we arrived in Bantayan.they said that the Virgin island has one of the best snorkeling site here in Bantayan. before jumping into the water, we decided to take a loop of the island to search for the best spot for snorkeling.and we finally discovered why it was called Virgin island. that's on my next post.

Great photos! Is the one in your banner from this outing? I love that one in particular. I also like the one with the trees all evenly spaced out. It feeds my need for order. LOL!!

>panaderos, thanks. the sea was calm the whole time we were there. maybe because of bantayan's location.

>dakilang islander, not much. i haven't been to camotes and malapascua. but i have plans. you might want to suggest some places that i can visit.

>hi karen, thanks! yes. the banner was taken during this trip to the island. but the island in the banner is bantayan island (not virgin island). i also wonder why those trees are evenly spaced out. at least it reminds you of something.

>bw, thank you. i always enjoy island hopping. specially on islands like these.

>r-yo, that's sad. but at least it reminds you that there's a really good place to see when you come back.

>hi aracir, yes. i only have one digicam. and i've been dreaming to have a dslr.

ang sarap maglakad doon sa sixth pic. and mukhang mababaw lang ang tubig sa first two pics kasi medyo light pa. great shots as usual dong.

>estan, you'll be more convinced that it's really virgin when ill show you the wonders beneath it's calm surface.

>luke, thanks.

>lawstude, salamat. yes. mababaw yung first two kasi paalis pa lang from Sugar beach resort. big parts of the sta fe coastlines are shallow.

looks like an amazing place. i really like the way you frame your shots, Dong. ganda nung first shot. the texture of the boat really added some fine accent to the shot. hoping to see more.

may mga nakatira ba d2? mukhang ang tahimik...=)

escape said...

>pietro, the experience was really great when i was there. from the place to the people.

>hi rayts, thanks! hearing it from an experienced photographer helps me appreciate the photos even more.

>hi doc rio, yes. in fact the island itself is a resort. the structures are hidden from the trees. pero tahimik nga talaga dun.

These are gorgeous. The silhouettes of the palm trees and the clean beaches and clear water make my morning. What a beautiful place.

patay na error ang comment ko. huhuhu.

virgin nga ang isalnd as I look at the pics. medyo hindi pa dinadayo at saka hindi pa na-develop. Medyo may takot ako habang tinitingnan ang pics. Napa-peaceful kasi ng island. Parang may nakakubli sa likod ng mga coconut trees. hehehe.

am looking forward to know why it is called virigin island. abangan.... susunod...... the eskapo....

>hi sandy, what more if you actually woke up one morning in this island? it's definitely an island to visit.

>redlan, yes. we actually dock on one of its isolated strips and crabs were freely roaming. it was quite safe.

>jasper, hehehe... when i was taking these photos the eagerness to snorkel was already there. but i made sure i have enough shots to share the sight. hehehe...

>steven, maganda talaga dun. daming mga magagandang beach site within its shoreline. kasi sa pier pa lang parang ang sarap nang tumalon.

no problem. as long as i have enough time, i make sure i blog hop. salamat din sa pagbisita dito.

>eastcoastlife, an island so rich is really worth hours of swimming.

>islander, maganda talaga dun. you really need to see it in person. if you are really like a peaceful, semi-private and good ambiance feeling, this resort will give you that. it is best to go there off season because this island transforms into a party islands on weekends of summer and on easter season.
