one tired night

after their performance, they still have to wait for some time for the results. several photographers took time walking around the performers resting area to take a shot.some found their own place to take a nap and texted their families while some mingled with one another.but somebody took the weirdest spot to sleep and that's on top of a jeepney. who said nobody can sleep on iron bars?

Love the tattoos. i really wish i have seen this.
The one sleeping on the top of the jeepney is my favorite. But i would be in pain after my sleep if i was him.
The rest of photo really have a festive atmosphere.

hi maya, thank you. there's a big chance that his back will be in pain on the next day.

hi arlene, thanks! the tattoos are not real. they are embedded on the cloth that they are wearing.

You know I was just thinking that I could never sleep smack in the middle of a crowd of people. I think I would prefer the iron bars. LOL!!!

Great shots as always.

Jeepney sleeping :-)
Still it dosen't surprise me. Filipinos are a tough lot, see them sleeping on concrete (Ning's dad does it all the time), motorcycles, timber seats and even on those bone smashing Legazpi to Manila buses :-)

karen, hahaha... you have a point.

tphils, i suggest that you bring with you foam as you might later on decide to sleep on foam instead. hehehe...

dave, that might just be another option. kaya lang baka mapasma ka dun.

brad, that's true. i remember your comment on my posts on people sleeping inside the tricycle.

kegler, salamat. enjoy sa trip mo.

dra. rio, yan nga ang pinoy! kahit saan pwede. hahaha...

dakilang islander, not yet. maybe when i'll get a better camera so i can really study its powerful functions.

thanks luke.

hi rayts, kayang kaya talaga kaya lang sakit naman ng katawan ang aabutin natin. hehehe...

wandering commuter, sayang. you missed a lot. it was really fun to be there. part of which is getting wet because of the heavy rain in the afternoon. but it didn't stop the people and the performers to celebrate aliwan.

It must have been a 'one wonderful night', full of colors and music.

And with that sleeping guy on a jeepney's roof, it was also one surreal night.

The guy atop the jeepney obviously wanted some time to himself. It's still kinda hard to sleep there because one still won't be able to stretch one's legs.

Great pics!

jasper, malamang nga gusto nya ng space.

aethen, thanks.

major tom, thanks. i think he imagined himself sleeping on a thick sofa bed. hahaha...

panaderos, he needs privacy and pain. hahaha... thanks.

It must have been a tiring but very rewarding day for all the performers.

ely, yan ang astig experience! your next challenge might be to do that sagada.

hi rachel, yes. tiring and rewarding because the performer's group got third place out of the 24 who participated in the festival. but they're all winners looking at all the effort.

dana, thank you very much. keep hopping.

ey chuck, nice to hear from you again. keep in touch always.

Ely said...

I could do that for an hour, that's maximum tolerance, but definitely not in Sagada. LOL

escape said...

hahaha... now that's what you call "challenge". i'll try to do it when i'll travel within the sagada bontoc area but not all the way from manila.
