upgrading robinson's plaza manila

recently i decided to visit one of the malls that i used to visit years ago when i was reviewing for the engineering board examinations in manila. first thing i observed was a newly painted outer part of the mall.
i thought they just only repainted its outer part but when i reached the lobby, there was a big change. the hallways are better and brighter this time. the renovated part of the mall is called "the Midtown".this mall was built built in 1997 along the M. Adriatico street in Ermita, Manila. now Ermita becomes known again as a new haven for shoppers and bar hoppers as more restaurants and bars opened on this part of the mall.when i last visited this mall the Manila Midtown hotel was still there but was already closed for a new building plan. now on that site stands three taller buildings.now it gives us more reason to mall hop in the historical city of Manila and yes more cafe to spend time relaxing and to mingle with your friends.

It's been quite a while since I last set foot at that mall. Glad to see the improvements.

i used to frequently go to that place back when i was still college. let's just say i was a friday's and starbuck's tambay (pati na rin siguro sinehan tambay). last year bumalik ako bigla akong nagpanic! nawawala ako. LOL! di ko akalain that they will expand the mall. in fairness, ang ganda. di mo iisipin na nasa robinsons ka nga.

lalaine, yes. i even asked the sales lady what it was before in that area because i never noticed this area before it was renovated. it looks bigger now.

rachel, this mall deserves to be renovated.

ifm, yes. i think it's bigger now. it looks more like an Ayala mall already.

Seems like another great mall to get lost in ;) Stylish renovation - reminds me of the "giants" I saw in Singapore.

tutubi, good idea. i wonder what shawarma store is this?

The renovated mall looks very nice . . . very open. It's refreshing to see a mall that does not have a line of kiosks and carts going down the middle. Our local mall has turned into a bazaar-like marketplace lately with the vendors calling out to mall patrons just trying to get from one point to another.

wow. that's good to hear. it wasn't like that when i left. filipinos are really into malls, which is a good thing. :)
